A Brief Company History

Our Story

Party Time Rentals, the Official Tent and Event Rental provider for Texas A&M Athletics, was founded in 1975 by Patricia Scarmardo. Our Past. For more than 40 years, the Scarmardo family owned and operated Party Time, building the company from a one-woman show to a thriving BCS business.

Today, Party Time Rentals (PTR) is one of Texas largest tent and event rental companies, serving communities within the Waco-Austin- Houston triangle. Throughout its history, PTR has demonstrated a commitment to excellence and a culture of service. Party Time has a long history of community support and involvement. It has been our privilege to meet the rental needs of Brazos Valley area Brides and Grooms, couples celebrating milestone anniversaries or individuals celebrating milestone birthdays, companies commemorating brand or product launches or hosting company events and not-for- profit organizations holding galas or festivals. No event has been too small . . . and none too large for PTRs rental support. As our company and our capabilities have has grown, so has our community, and PTR is proud to be an integral part of that growth and prosperity.

Our founder, Patricia, was instrumental in the formation of the Brazos Valley Bridal Association and was an active participant in BVBA activities. As the Brazos Valley events community has grown in numbers, that organization has played a key role in upholding professional standards of ethics and conduct and enhancing the level of event sophistication. Patricia Scarmardo succumbed to a lengthy illness in April of 2016. In August of that same year, Party Time was acquired by the Crum family from Austin. Richard and Delores Crum, together with their children Rick Crum and Angela Nussel, operate Party Time Rentals and the luxury event rental boutique, Party Time Rentals Select. With 4 Austin locations, Party Time Rentals is a major player in the Austin area events marketplace.

A Look At Our Philosophy

Party Time Rentals is a customer driven business that recognizes the importance of both internal (Team members) and external (customers) stakeholders and seeks to always act in the best interests of both groups.

We contend that Party Time Rentals represents the Bryan / College Station – Central Texas market’s best party and event rental value and endeavor to live up to that claim. Party Time Rentals is profit-motivated, people focused, service driven and results oriented. We believe that our success is directly attributable to putting “people” first… to building and maintaining positive, mutually beneficial team member and external customer relationships.

The primary tenants of Party Time Rentals’ business philosophy are simple. First, each individual member of the Party Time Rentals team, and every external customer is treated with dignity and respect. There is no place in our business model for rude, insulting or disrespectful behavior. Second, we are appreciative of our team members and of our customers. We strive to express that appreciation in a variety of ways, and seek to ensure that neither our Valued Customers or Team Members are ever taken for granted.

We are, to the maximum extent possible and consistent with sound business practice, accommodating to our customers and to members of the Party Time Rentals team. We are flexible, within the limits of established policy and procedure (designed to ensure fair and equitable treatment), when team members or customers have problems, issues or unforeseen circumstances. Our customers understand and appreciate that Party Time Rentals will go the extra mile for them. That “extra mile” may involve purchasing special inventory, dealing with difficult delivery requirements or set up parameters, locating and recommending external resources to satisfy unusual requests or meet specific needs. Regardless of the challenge, Party Time Rentals is committed to finding solutions that help our external customers successfully execute their events. We strive for consistent, dependable and reliable performance and zealously guard our reputation within the community and the industry. Excellence is our standard, for individual and company performance.
